Problem
This painted garage floor had become unsightly with time and use. As you can see in the BEFORE images, the paint was worn away in some places, revealing the concrete underneath. The homeowners wanted a fresh, new look and requested that we use something more durable than latex acrylic paint that they had previously applied themselves.
Solution
Professional epoxy coatings for concrete are the ideal solution for garage floors, because it is durable and resilient, stain resistant, and covers minor imperfections. First, we completely removed the old paint and lightly honed the concrete to prepare it for coating. Then we mixed epoxide resin with polyamine hardener to give the epoxy its strength and applied it generously. We instructed the homeowners to give it ample time to bond to the concrete and cure before walking on the floor. As you can see in the AFTER images, this floor looks brand new.
